Question-Anyone start going to church after divorce? ColoHill: Just curious. I have never really gone to church even though I have had my beliefs. My family just wasn't very religious so I wasn't raised in that enviroment. My H and I had talked for just over a year about going to a couple of the ones around town and finding one that "fit" us. Well, now I have set a goal to actually go and not just talk about going. We are still married but that is not going so hot. And, he doesn't want to go now and is questioning my wanting to go. I was just curious if anyone else started attending services after their divorce.

I wasn't all that religious before, and I'm not going to be now. It's just me!
Though, some have found it helpful, but my stbx is an abusive jerk, he goes to church each Sunday now that we are getting divorced to help his "pain", but he's still the same old jerk he was before he left, so it gives me more of a reason not to go.
Sorry, guys, but religion is not my thing.

I have been an avid church goer for probably 6 years now. UNTIL I tried to break up with my b/f (my daughters father) about a month ago. I decided to give him ONE last chance. He wants to go to church with me. Since he wants to come with me, I almost don't want to go anymore. It's just creepy! He hates religion, and anything to do with it. He would not allow me to bring my daughter to church before this happened. Now he WANTS to go with me. It's just creepy to me, and I have missed like 3 Sundays since then, because he wants to come and I don't want to go with him.
My mom would be very dissapointed in me and upset about this, so I'm glad she can't read this right now.... :-\

But since the separation it's been exceptionally hard to go and try to understand how all this pain and anger somehow fit into God's plan...
Maybe someday He'll make it clear. Sure hope so anyways...
