That's what my late grandmother called it: Goulash! She passed away about 15 years ago, and the word goulash just brought a ton' o memories of her house.

kinda' sorta' in a way but not really.......lol at least not our version.....
macaroni, a can of diced tomatoes, and a can of tomato sauce. occasionally ground beef, but not tonight. i can't do onions & peppers.......icky!
