Re: Wife cheated with a girl friend, don't know what to do..? Chris101: lostboy, I read your post, we are going through almost the same thing. I'm sorry to hear that you have to go through it too. It does give me some comfort to know that i'm not the only one, so thanks for that.
I think we are over as well but she just hasn't come to terms with it, although I really hope that isn't the case. She only spent one night at the GF's house and was lonely, so she's back home sort of, still very distant. She still wont decide between me or her yet, and has constant contact with her. If it wasn't for the kids I wouldn't be trying this hard, I'd be long gone, but I feel that I owe it to them.

Chris,
Oh man... I'm 28 and I have two children, ages 6 and 4. My stbx had an affair with a woman that she initially claimed was emotional only, but of course it was sexual, as well. My stbx repeatedly lied to me about the level of involment -- every few months I can still get more details out of her. Each time she forgets that she had concealed something and I get a new revelation... so that is my warning to you, jaded as it is. Just like any cheating spouse, you can't believe them.
I know how you feel, trying for the kids... good luck, but don't forget that you deserve a life, too. You deserve to be happy, and you deserve to have a partner that respects you.
