I agree with you Samarra, no friend of me would ever treat me with such little class. Even my worst enemy.
I do feel though that I did walk away with some dignity, She thought she was playing me and had the two relationships going and was going to get to decide depending on how her new thing was going. I said "Hell's no" and ambushed her with all I knew...all she could do was sit their crying a little kid who got caught with his face in the cake and too embarrassed and shocked to know what to do. I lether know that i don't play those games and she can have her new beau.
I never went back and contacted her for that reason. I left with some dignity. If I were to go back and contact, then it'd be a different story.

I know it still hurts but there is a deep sense of satisfaction in knowing that you won't stand still for other peoples' bullshit...just to be able to say...I'm too good for this and I'm walking away...will you still hurt...of course...but better to bear that hurt alone and have it eventually dissipate over time....than to stay and make yourself miserable and sick.
You did the right thing.

I think it is possible to have a friendship at some point in time with someone if things ended honestly. However, unless the relationship was short there has to be some time to deal with things. When things end with cheating the distrust that develops because of the lies and deceit IMO make friendship almost impossible. I know that there are those out there that have done but for me I don't think I could do it. It takes alot to regain trust and if someone cheated they have quit trying to reestablish the trust. Maybe that's just me but I don't believe a word that my XW says because of how much she lied to me throughout the whole ordeal.
