Re: Sleep deprived AfterMath: Yeah, I see what you mean - just be cautious & obviously lock up eveything before you go to sleep.
Re: Sleep deprived ColoHill: I have been in this situation 3 different times with stalkers. I would say you HAVE to call the local police and report it every single time. Sometimes they will start extra patrols on the first report, sometimes it takes more than one. They sooner you can get them patrolling, the better you might feel.
Is getting a dog an option? That might ease your fears as well. Good luck. I know what an awful feeling this is. Your home should be your safe haven from the world. You should feel safe. Like I said, I recomend calling the police department. Talk to a couple neighbors also. See if they have seen anything strange. Ask them to call the police for you if they notice anything suspicious around your home. Hope it gets better. Let me know.
Re: Sleep deprived charmed: I should have called the police, but I was so shocked at this incident at 3 in the morning that I acted promptly for my safety. Around here I could have been dead by the time the police showed up. If this happens again I will call them if nothing else to get it on record.
I have a dog and ironically he didn't bark or do anything. He's a great watch dog and him having no response made me wonder if this is someone he was familiar with.
Ironically, since I am now "unattached" it seems there are "those" taking a keen interest in me LOL, including neighbors. At first, I thought it was kindness, but now I don't really know. Who do you trust?
I greatly appreciate your responses. It's nice to know I'm not alone, even when I'm "alone" LOL
