Re: Whats the point of getting married anymore esp. in this country? isurrender: is the bus sold out yet?? i want to buy the next ticket. my situation is very similar... if you really want to see a guy that's figured this whole thing out, go to www.nomarriage.com. for me (no offense to any women out there who are endeared to the person i'm about to talk about), it all points back to oprah. my stbx is a mega-fan of oprah. although oprah has done some great things in her life to make the world a better place, her brand image evokes a sense of entitlement that i see many women just eat up like cotton candy. there's this vibe of well, oprah's a free spirit, i can be one to. i can do anything, i am woman. i puke at the thought. i'm a man, and i can't do anything without weighing the consequences first. this is where my stbx missed the bus. :D
