Re:Decorating for Christmas down2basics: I know exactly how you feel - I've been reconstructing my Christmas traditions now for two years and it is finally paying off....
Last night I took my two kids and we each bought a Christmas ornament for ourselves for this year - we also have done it in years past, but this year was special. I even bought a new tree for the occasion - a 6ft fiber optic tree - I really like it! ;D
Hugs - it does get better!

Decorating for Christmas incoherentlonghorn: I'm so excited that BM recommended SWHToday. In itself, this place is something wonderful.
For anyone dreading decorating for Christmas-there is hope!!
My S2BX and I painted all of the tree decorations together and frankly I didn't want to look at them (love/peace/joy/vomit). But I love the holiday season and I refuse to neglect myself. So I spent 30 bucks on new ornaments and got a special one for my son. My father generously helped me get the lights up on the house.
*Don’t buy exterior swag style lights unless you have an entire day to untangle them!* Although they are perfect.
I am ecstatic that my home is beautiful and reminder free. So decorate away and enjoy yourself!
Re:Decorating for Christmas brokenman: SWHT is a good place for a pick-me-up. However, I don't know if I like being referred to as BM ;D I guess I should have thought of that when I signed up. :P Anyway, even if something wonderful didn't happen for you today just reading about someone else's fortune is better than sobbing. :-\
