My X was jealous of the time I spent with her and eventually said to me "It's me or the dog". It was his house and I had nowhere to go that I could take her and I had to rehome her. Re: Dog Cassa: It's funny how it's those little issues - like having a pet - that really illustrate the dynamics you had in your relationship.
To me little dogs and big dogs might as well be different species. I LOVE big dogs - great danes, rotties, labs, etc. I used to have a beautiful scotch collie (Lassie dog).
I've seen some different stories and it seems like a lot of people get dogs after a divorce. I guess you're so used to showering love on someone that you need a replacement.
