today wasn't good alonewith2: Well, I was starting to think my life couldn't get any worse, and today I had started to think things were getting turned around for the better. My STBX was going to watch the kids again today, so I could work. He came over at about 8 am, and I hopped in the shower and started to get around like I did yesterday. Only this time he brings me the phone, and it's my boss calling me off because there wasn't enough work for me to come in. This is the 3rd time that has happened in the last 3 weeks, plus I missed some days/hours because of babysitting troubles......that'll be a nice paycheck.....
Anyway, I finish getting around, come downstairs and ask the STBX if he would like to go shopping with us today. I wanted to start putting some school stuff on layaway for the kids since it'll be awhile before I have a nice paycheck to just go buy everything at once. He agrees, we go. Shopping went okay, then we went to McDonald's for lunch. Did the drive thru since I just wanted to get home after all that shopping. Anyway, my 2 year old daughter decided to spill her drink all over her. So we stopped along side the road, cleaned her and her car seat up. Then started driving down the road, and heard this noise. Stopped the car (thinking great flat tire), but it was just a stick stuck under the car. Removed that, drive some more, my 7 year old son spills his BBQ sauce all over himself. Had to stop the car and clean him up. Finally make it home feeling I just went through war. But you know what......all I did was laugh the entire time!!!! My STBX was getting upset as could be with me, but I couldn't help it. I don't know if I'm turning cynical or what, but since I was driving, I really wasn't the one getting out every 5 miles to clean up the mess. It was just too funny!!!! Still laughing........it feels good to laugh!!!!
