Arthritis sigkapgirl: Okay, so this isn't stress related to the divorce or anything, but I was curious if anyone here is dealing with arthritis and what you're doing for it?
Right now, I'm basically taking Tylenol, but my knees and elbows are just freaking killing me today. My insurance is really shitty until I actually START classes in a couple weeks, so I can't go to the doctor and get a prescription for something stronger.
Ugh. So, any help would be appreciated, because this is really sucking right now.
Re: Arthritis tyrogers: I had/have tendonitis in my wrists and I used Aspercreme. It seemed to be the best ointment/rub out there and there is NO odor. I also rotated between Advil and Tylenol. Eventually, when I could not even hold a coffee mug in my hand or brush my hair, I had surgery. Until then, Aspercreme was my lifesaver. It was a bit more expensive than the other rubs, but who cares when you are hurting, right?
Love you!

Re: Arthritis summerparis: I have arthritis, not rheumatoid, but from over-use. My doctor recommended taking an anti-inflammatory for pain (Motrin) and also taking glucosamine chondroitin (1000 mg) daily. You can find glucosamine chondroitin in any drug store or health food store. It's one of the few supplements that has been medically and scientifically proven to halt arthritis and alleviate the symptoms. Good luck! Songbird
