Re: Life altering experience maine surfer: no more tears,

count me in. I'm feeling absolutely the same. Life won't ever be the same without her. I also cherish those little things I took for granted. I'll never be the same either. I'm also learning many things about myself, but they mostly unpleasant....

Couldn't have written better myself.....

Re: Life altering experience riversandlakes:
Life-altering yes.

On the train ride, chatted with two doctors (small world). Three strangers with similar ties to home states, working place, and universities ;)
It was a 28-minute non-stop to the capital. I didn't pay any attention to what flew by outside the window, and then, I HAD TO outside, and saw the huge mall where she made her request of 'space and time" that fateful afternoon on 11 December 2004. It was a "space and time" she subconciously wanted to use with the OM. It was not deliberate, I can grant her that much - that's all.

That was the turning point of my life.

Something tugged at my healing heart - "It was not supposed to be like this. How did my good princess morph into a monster?"

Yesterday, at 1130 at the Central Business District in Singapore, I walked out of the medical center, and stood on the pathway, amidst huge skyscrapers. I got a different feeling.

I think I felt alive.
"I am finally here. This is my opportunity to shine. I must grab it, and seize the days!"
