I know that is my situation the only thing that has made it work out well for everyone is being really honest with my new boyfriend about all the feelings and hardships that I am going through in dealing with being left by my ex.... it has been hard and I have had lots of doubts, but this guy is becoming very important to me and in sharing these feelings we have built a lot of trust and grown a lot closer and he has also given me room to mourn my loss... Candygirl, it sounds like this guy is already a good friend and that maybe you have a chance to be really happy with him.... I can say from experience that it probably isn't a good idea to get into something so soon, but here I am trying to make it work and it is mostly good and if you want to try to make it work with this guy just be super honest with yourself and with him and make sure that he will also give you room to deal with getting over your loss... being with someone new can cover up a lot of bad feelings with good ones, but if you aren't done dealing with them they will come back at some point... I wish I had known that, haha, you just have to make sure you are ready to deal with that....

all the things you said are exactly how i'm feeling right now.
Why couldn't my ex just show that he cared? Why did he have to shut the doors to his heart and keep me waiting outside? He never made me feel special and never took the time to notice. Yet, i still have some crazy attatchment to him. ???
The other guy is really nice to me and always has been. We know each other really well, and i'm affraid of losing his friendship if we do get involved and it doesn't work out.

He helped me move a desk over to my apartment and we started argueing, I told him i didn't want to talk to him anymore or see him... 'cause whenever we are together we usually end up in an argument. I'm struggling not to call him or see him, but in order for us to work out we both need to change alot... I need to stop being a pushover and he needs to learn to respect me and show his feelings more.
