Not only do we have to go to court for the divorce but also for his criminal charges. His lawyer harrasses me through my lawyer and states that his client cannot pay child support, provide health insurance or breath, because of the restraining order and asks repeatedly for me to have it lifted. Isn't this a violation of my rights as a victim. Why can his lawyer be able to bug me through my lawyer? Why won't he just go away and vanish into thin air? Will it ever get better? What is wrong with these people, do they not have any moral? This man abused me but yet he has more rights than I do. I hate that.

he is using his lawyer as a weapon, your best bet is to use your lawyer as a shield.
talk to your lawyer about only bringing things to your attention that are absolutely necessary. see if there's any way to have the protective order expanded to include the lawyers behaviour.
abusers are unbelievably egocentric and have NO regard for anyone but themselves. they see themselves as the victim in every situation. yours has found a lawyer who will help him use legal means to harass you.
do not, NOT lift that order.

I have brought his letters to the victim\witiness prosecuter and they are taking note on his lawyer's lack of ethics. I will ask my buddy (my lawyer) to sheild all unnessesary info from this point on. It will keep me from getting upset. Don't worry, I have finally removed him and it has taken over a year to do so. I would rather hang from my nose from a really high tree covered in honey, swarmed with bees in a lightning storm than have his butt back in my life.
