Re: re-locating to another state and finding a job? Mooneyes: There are alot of things I think you could do.  You might find out if the local schools for dental work have any job postings.  You could get a list of dentists in the area where you are living and send them resumes without there being an actual job application.

If you are a church goer.. contact churches where you are going and let them know.  Also local public library is often a good resource.  They may have local job listings.  But also they have teeth!  So they probably have been to various offices and may know of something.

Re: re-locating to another state and finding a job? Shanna: A lot on non-military businesses in non-miliitary areas still like to hire ex miilitary and spouses....

Re: re-locating to another state and finding a job? jillieb44: Are there employment ads in the backs of dental journals?  Websites for dentists/assistants?  You could try there.

Re: re-locating to another state and finding a job? genesplicer: If all your other options don't pan out, you might have some luck just calling a few of the larger dental offices in the area you are moving to.  Chances are that they won't have any openings, but they may know other dentists that are looking to hire.

Good luck with the search.

Re: re-locating to another state and finding a job? EssieDotCom: LOL i went to the yellow pages on line, called almost all of the dental offices and asked about CA jobs. I have a few left on that list and some on neighboring cities that I am going to call. Trust me I've been faxing and mailing my heart out with my resume.  I actually got one call back from an orthanodist office that i had sent my resume to. I'm not sure when they are hiring for the postion, but I'm moving home labor day week end, which isn't too far off.
