I totaly agree, but still it makes you wonder if it was the nail in the coffin lid, in deciding between trying to work on the relationship and just bailing.

I guess I am just looking for closure
Re: Can anyone explain to me "I just don't love you anymore" tyrogers: Yes affairs usually happen because the relationship is failing (well that's the way I see it anyway).  Had I not asked for the divorce, I may have cheated and been the cheater.  However, I asked for the divorce.  Honesty hurts sometimes, but in my case, it was the best way to do it.

Part of me wonders if he was just giving her the push she needed to get herself out of a bad situation, or if it was the cause, I guess I will never know for sure.

I dont think the OW/OM is the cause for the breakup of a marriage.  They certainly have a major role to play and didnt help to save the marriage, but they were not the reason for the breakup.  If someone's going to leave a marriage, it's fundamentally their own character flaw or something's been broken in the marriage for a while.  And i think in every situation, there's something that you can learn about yourself.
