While I generally like to steer clear of BBH's tyrades (LOL), she has a point but no matter how much she argues about it & fights for it, it's just the way it is. I'm not saying it's right & I don't subscribe to that old time thinking but it ain't gonna change anytime soon.
& ya.. that line about "respecting her for not sleeping with him" was just that, a line. Just to show her how sensitive he was. Truthfully, if I'm dating you & like you enough, the reason I'll respect you would be for who you are not for an action you may or may not feel the need to act on... & I won't need to tell you the reasons for my respect, that in itself is kind of goofy.
Re: Question.....I need guys opinions on this please.... Bubba: It is like those double standard where if a guy hooks up with a girl, sleeps with her, then decides, hey I am not over my ex. He is called and A-hole, a dick, etc. He is accused of using the woman. If a woman sleeps with the guy, and then says she is not ready because she is still thinking of her ex. Well the poor girl. She needs support. The guy just got used, but there is no mention of supporting him.
