Re: STUDENT LOANS- HELP?!? genesplicer: SS, if you've got the extra time that you can spend doing research and/or being a teaching assitant, you can usually find someone in your department that will be willing to pick up your costs. I'm not sure if all schools do this, but I know my university had a policy to waive tuition if you put in X hours for the department a semester. Maybe you can find a professor or two that are doing things that interest you and chat with them?
I'm not sure why, but the student loans / help available to grad students seems extremely subpar compared to the regular undergrad systems.
