Purple Hair timetobefree: So, in the interest of saving money, I decided to color my hair at home, which I have not done since high school.
I naturally have dark blonde hair.
It was pretty highlighted, so I tried highlighting it at home, just to get rid of the roots. It looked like crap.
So I bought Feria Dark Iridescent Blonde (also known as Caramel Kiss). I now have dark blonde hair with purple highlights. ::) Funny, the box didn't mention purple AT ALL. Unless that is what iridescent now means.
T kinda likes it, I think in a kinky way. I think it is borderline acceptable, but would be a real issue if I have an interview soon! ::)
Any suggestions on how I can fix this myself? Or any suggestions on kits for dark blondes to use at home? Fortunately, I am pretty laid back about my hair, but I don't think some of the places I am interviewing would be as laid back about it as I am.

i'm sorry but this is the exact reason why i don't f*ck with my hair color! it's brown/blonde/whatever, but it's real. i got it colored professionally one time, and it was cool while it lasted, but i've just never been gutsy enough to do it myself!
i have no idea what to tell you to do.....maybe go for "elvira black" for a while? lol

Re: Purple Hair dgiirl: The package should have a 1-800 number. I made a boo boo once and had to use the number. They got all scientific on me saying i needed to buy two hair colors and do a bunch of mixing. I just bought the darkest color they recommended and highlighted over. It gave this cool highlight effect and everyone commented on it saying it was nice (after i fixed the boo boo) :)
Ps, I'd love to have purple hair! Or pink or blue. But I'm too chicken :( Is there any temp colors i could use?
