Smiley17: Just so we're clear, and before we become cool, a little insight for you: I've been the one holding up ALL of my past relationships, including my marriage until my stbx ran me into the freakin' ground. I've been the one holding it all together, and keeping things alive and loving, and for once, I don't have to do that. For once, I feel I can breathe, that's what I meant by that.
I've always been the giver, and a part of me wonders how long it'll be before I have to become the giver again. I'm the one who's easily taken for granted.
So, yes, now that I got that out, "we cool".
Re: Talking About Marriage? Shanna: If I am right Smiley didn't mean she was taking him for granted. I think more that she doesn't feel like she has to try really hard to keep him around so it makes it comfortable because she can just be herself. Am I right?
With some guys you are afraid if they know something they will run off before giving you a chance.
I throw everything out there in the beginning that way I don't get attached to someone who doesn't accept me.
I have been talking a few guys on the phone. Only one of those guys am I comfortable enough with to really just be totally Shanna. I think it is a good sign that I can be totally open with him. I can let my guard down and not have fear.
