He will get the kids every other Wednesday after school and return them on Sunday with alternating holidays. We made this up ourselves. I wont know how it will work until he gets back from Iraq but I think it will work for both the kids and the parents.
I think that anytime you can come to an agreement that suits both parents and children without dragging in the attorneys and courts You stand a greater chance of developing a good co-parenting relationship. Thats the most important part of the divorce, parenting your children together.
So try talking to your wife and see what happens. Either she will agree and works out or you go to court.
