Re: Smiley's Dating Story Smiley17: Bumping this...
Part 3:
A few things have happened in the past week or so.
I met his friends Saturday night, was scared to death, even up to the very second he came to get me with his "first" friend.
He had me sit in the front seat with his friend on our drive into Boston. What a nice guy letting me have the front seat, especially since he's so tall, and it was kinda a compact car. Ok, I was nervous about that too. It's a shocka that I don't have an ulcer by now! LOL!
The drive into Boston was kinda cool. I was getting to know a little about his friend and realized that we have the same tastes in music. GG LOVES his music, has an ipod, and like 5,000 songs on it, none of which are any of the "new" songs that his friend P and I like, so we playfully made fun of him. He played some songs from his ipod and didn't let any of the songs finish, which kinda bugged me, but I never said anything...
We get to the bar/club, and have drinks. I love Smirnoff Ice, so they bought me some of those. I didn't pay a dime the entire night! I'm not used to that, at all! It was cool, and I didn't feel guilty like I normally would. *Can you see that ulcer forming?* LOL!!
Ok, so I had like3 Smirnoffs, and was feeling very buzzed! Cool! :D
Like I posted in my BLAST post, I had a great time. His friends liked me, and it was a ton of fun! Can't wait to do it again!
On the ride home, I sat in the front again, and we made fun of D's music again, and since I was buzzed, I playfully said, "Do you EVER let a song finish before playing the next one?" His friend P cracked up, b/c apparently he was dying to say the same thing! Leave it to me to say what everyone else is thinking! LOL!! From that moment on, D laughed and let the song play, just to make me happy. That was incredibly cute b/c any other smartass guy would just keep it up. :P
So, Sunday comes, and he hints to me that he has nothing to do, so I invite him to come to my parents' for a casual cook out. Nothing big, nothing major, just people hanging out, eating, and playing stupid games.
D had a great time, and my kids loved him there. My little D kept calling for him, so I stepped in a few times to create space between them so D could enjoy himself and relax.
Towards the end of the day/evening, we decide to play with a beach ball and toss it back and forth. It started with my neice and me, then a few other people (kids too) joined in, and I dragged him in. He was SO great with the kids!!! Then I decided that it was adult time, so we all played. It was great to move around that much and for him to see that I'm not afraid to get sweaty and be a little athletic. It was a ton of fun!
So, we leave around 8 b/c the kids and I were exhausted and we needed baths/showers. I took care of business, then he came over around 9:30 to watch TV. Yeah, we watched for about a half hour before we both fell asleep. I wake up around 12, and tell him that I need to go to bed. So he went home and I was able to sleep until 8 this morning! Yay!!
Today, he's at a golf thing with his friend P, so I might not see him until tonight, if I do at all. He thought I'd be upset, but I was far from it. He has his life too, you know? I won't get mad at that, especially since he makes me feel so secure. That's the key here...
I feel secure. I know he wants me and I want him. It's finally a balance and it feels great!
Just the latest update... :D
