Re: Why I gave the H. an ultimatum... ajw: Sounds like he left you no real choice in the end.........I know familys are important, but when you stand up in church and make that vow to each other, that means that relationship is the primary one you should be dealing with. These 2 brothers are pathetic.....i suspect the other brother divorced for a similar reason,i expect they will both probably both still be living there 20 years from now.You did the right thing as he was never going to cut the apron strings...he likes them too much

Re: Why I gave the H. an ultimatum... Grinning_Madly: Pathetic is not the word.

Part of this is a cultural thing, too: Harry's always been an irresponsible slob -- for three solid years after he graduated from high school (and barely made it through; Sally didn't even take that situation in hand, either), Sally let him sit up in that room doing nothing but sit on his arse and smoke dope.

My mother always said that you either get a job or you go to school: you do not bum.

Whether Harry and his wife are legally separated with a divorce imminent or it's simply a "fake separation", I don't know. You see, Harry and his wife have two toddlers that are early intervention and maybe for financial reasons they "split up" so that they'd qualify for some type of state aid for the kids, school wise.

I know that the oldest one was in Head Start -- How much do you want to bet Harry went, "I am a single parent and I make only $12 an hour and I'm so financially put out that I had to move into my mom's..."?

But they are still pathetic. What kind of a normal male moves back in with their parent?
