Re: Are ya kidding me?! Shanna: Sorry he is being such a LOOOOOOZZZAAAAAA. Maybe after he has a little more time alone he will wake up??? Doubt it, but we can hope, right? I hope one day my kids' dad will decide they are worth the time and attention. Someday.
3.5 months since he took the time to see them. (last May)
Re: Are ya kidding me?! Smiley17: These LOOOZZZAAAS suck!!! They both need reality checks!
Re: Are ya kidding me?! manda: This probably won't help much now...
But one day, those fathers will regret their decisions. They will become older men and their children will have grown up to be good people (thanks to great moms) and their fathers will look at them (maybe at their weddings or ESPECIALLY when THEY become parents and are holding their own children and playing ACTIVE roles) and their fathers will look at them and REALLY see them as people. And they will regret the lack of time they put in.
They will.
i'm glad you are keeping the doors open for when they DO FEEL LIKE parenting (I use the word loosely) because that means they won't be able to blame you. They will have to blame themselves. That will be their small hell on earth.
HATS OFF to good mommas like you! I had one myself and she becomes more and more perfect as I get older.
Re: Are ya kidding me?! Smiley17: Why thank you, random! That was really, really nice!
That's one of the thoughts that enters my head... some day he'll regret it. Unfortunately, it'll take until he's like 50 before he will, but he will. In the meantime, I have some great guys... my dad... my best friend's hubby, and even GG to help give them a male perspective.
They have me to teach them how to treat people, use manners, and love. That much is working so far... well... for the most part! ;)
Re: Are ya kidding me?! manda: They are lucky.
You know, just being there is the best thing.
They'll remember who put the cold rag on their forehead when they were sick, who packed their backpacks for school, took them to practice...and all that other stuff that parents just do.
You don't have to be a Supermom all the time. Just be there.
