i think you've got a good idea there. perhaps a little no contact is in order, if he is unable to behave himself.

Assault is the perception of harm....meaning if you felt you were in danger of getting hurt (even if there was no threat or contact made). Battery is the actual physcial contact.....you should have been able to charge him with assault based on what you said, but maybe they took it as a he said, she said case.
Spinning, you know my views on this already. I believe it is time for no contact.....even if it means letting him move into the house while you go stay with your parents. You really shouldn't be around him. He's getting out of control. He's acting like a trapped animal, and who knows what he could end up doing!
