Hanging Over My Head rjack0612: I had previously given my wife and myself a deadline of August 1st to try and save our marriage. On the day in question she still stated that she was working on herself. So at that time I said goodbye and have cutoff all contact. I called our lawyer and gave the information for my side and my demands. She never showed up at the lawyer yet. I was trying to do the divorce with "our" atty to keep the cost down by filing no-fault even though she cheated and I have more than enough proof to go the adultry route.
What do I do now? Why is she the one dragging her feet and prolonging this mess? In addition, my son has stated he wants to live with me. He is not happy living wuth her sister and her family. HELP!!

Re: Hanging Over My Head ajw: Contact her sister and let her know that unless your wife contacts the lawyer in the very near future you are scrapping filing the no-fault divorce and you are filing because of adultery.You probably should have done it to start of with,i honestly think she believes if she just ignores you the problem with go away.With regards to your son,file for custody thats all you can do.
