Re: When does it stop bhollar: I logged on here to ask the same question.  And it's only been a few months since the separation, and the divorce will be final in a couple of weeks.  Up until now, I've been telling people that we got separted a few weeks ago.  But today I did the math, and it is going on 16 weeks!

OMG  where did that time go?  Did I miss out on the entire Summer?
Re: When does it stop sparks: Thank you for all the replys.  Im just so... stuck.  But at least now I dont feel psychotic and hopeless.

Re: When does it stop Mart: Hi,

I wish I had the answer to your question.  I stopped seeing my therapist because I felt that we were going in circles.  For me, I feel that, to move on with my life without him, I need to know why he did what he did, why he did it without even discussing it with me and why he refused to try to work at it.  No therapist will be able to answer these questions.  Everyone has their theories.  The ex is the only one who can answer, but he keeps on saying that he does not know why and that he is confused.  This won't change so I need to move on, regardless.

So the moral of this story is that you will always have feelings/love for your ex, but the only person that can make you happy/ totally happy.... is yourself!!!  Find what makes you happy, other than having a man or woman in your life.  If you are happy with yourself, you will never need a man or woman.  Having a man or a woman that love you will only be a bonus to your happy life.  If that person leaves, you are still happy.

My happiness depended greatly on my ex.  So now, obviously, I am unhappy.  I am still trying to find ways to be happy without a man in my life.
Easier said than done!!!  :)

Mart
