HNG update sigkapgirl: So, to quash any further misinformation, miscommunication, and whatnot, I figured I should update ya'll on the HNG situation.
So, he was out of town until Sunday. I was still studying when he got back, and told him so. A little later we got together to watch a movie.
It was weird. I don't know if I'm just weirded out by his age still (he's 37) or what, but I am very uncomfortable being with him. He is clingy and has been calling me at least twice a day. Freaked me out when I overheard him on the phone with a friend and he called me his girlfriend (after two dates, I don't THINK so!). So basically, he's hot, and (with me) that's all he's got going for him.
If you want specifics, you can PM me, but I'm not comfortable putting some of this out there publicly. Its not for everyone to know.
Anyways, so I saw him briefly yesterday but I had to study so I basically told him to go away and shut the door in his face (I'm so mean!). I'm working on how to "break" things off with him. I'm kinda hoping that he'll get the hint. So yeah.

Simply tell him your not ready for a relationship with him and even though you have had fun with him you just don't feel anything more for him then friendship. It can be awkward to do, but its short lived awkwardness (for both of you) and then it's over. This prolonged pretending to like him when you don't is just long lasting awkwardness that is totally unnecessary for you and unfair for him. If he likes you he should know right now your not into him so he can move on before he gets his heartbroken worse.
