Re: Haircut! dgiirl: I do not know much about fashion or hair and stuff. My hair is usually as long as yours, and I tend not to do anything with it.
However, every once in a while, I take risks and go to the hair stylist and ask her what will look good on me. They have a MUCH better idea than I do on these things. I tell them how short I want it, and I dont want to do any maintenance, simply wash and go, and they cut it with some input from me. Everytime they cut it, my initial reaction is I dont like it. Takes me about a week before I start liking it myself. However, EVERYone else loves it right from the start and i get a whole bunch of compliments.
From my own experience in life, follow the experts opinions. They _usually_ know what they are doing. When I got married, I let the experts give me their opinions on things. I didnt choose the flowers, or any nity gritty details. I told the flowerist where I was getting married and she knew the room very well and choose the most gorgeous flowers ever! The cake was absolutely yummy. Not the traditional white cake, but a cake full of strawberries and OMG it was soooo good, and beautiful! blah, i'm rambling.
Ask your hair stylist if you really dont know :)
Re: Haircut! OnTheMend: I think a shoulder length blunt cut would look good. No layers. I'm not a fan of layers.
Re: Haircut! sigkapgirl: Thanks so much for all the ideas!!!
OnTheMend ~ I can't do a blunt cut. My hair is REALLY thick, and if I get a blunt cut, I get this funky bell shaped thing going on and it looks really stupid :(
Re: Haircut! OnTheMend: Oh, ok.. well... I don't really know what I'm talking about anyway.. I've had the same hairstyle for 31 years. (I'm 31 years old.) Long straight, layerless. Fun.
Re: Haircut! startingover: I like chantal's idea. Mine is a similar cut, but longer. It is so much easier to deal with as I have such thick hair...still takes 20 min to dry.
