Do Men CRY ????? Cowboy12: Borrowed from one of the questions on "getting to know your Ojarians"
I said I never Cry and I don't ...when I read most of the women on here had and some of the guys, I started to wonder is it just me.... :-\
On the whole I think Men don't cry . Perhaps its not the done thing. i read recently that it's important to cry as part of the recovery process, but I have never felt the need.
The last time I cried was 3yrs. ago, when I was in an A&E ward looking at my ex, who had tried to kill herself for the third time... I cried because it all got too much for me, how could she selfishly try to take her life and leave me & the 3 girls behind without a care.
From the day we split I haven't cried, I guess I don't think she deserves my tears anymore.
I know the next time I will cry will be when I lose my oldest sister to cancer, this will crush me, and I would think I will not be able to avoid crying at the loss.
Why is it easier for women to cry, does it help with grieving more, or are women more emotional ...I don't know... Answers on a postcard please. :P

Re: Do Men CRY ????? freovir: Cowboy,
to answer your question . . . i don't cry either. not never, but rare enough to say i don't. i cried twice relating to the divorce. the first time was when i had to tell my parents and they sounded so dissapointed in me that it turned me into a five year old. the second was one night when i was putting my girls to bed and they were sad about not having a mom - i went downstairs and cried for about 30 seconds. then i was done.
do you get angry cowboy? i think this is often the male version of crying. we whip a chair through a wall, or some other violent act.

Re: Do Men CRY ????? BigRunner493: i do......did often during the entire divorce process, mainly because of what i had put my daughters through; i could just look at them while they were sleeping, innocently, and start to beat myself up about how they didn't ask for any of this and all they want is a mom and dad and a normal life. i would cry when my oldest cried about why i wasn't at her house. i never cried infront of them, but did my share by myself. i don't cry about much else, mainly when i get upset about my girls.
