Re: Do Men CRY ????? ChristyM: My ex was/is a crier and the one thing that could always get the tears started was talking about his daughter (funny he couldn't show that emotion in other ways to her).  I didn't mind it at all and he didn't do it often.  He was such a big guy anyway that to see him breakdown reminded me of his gentler side.  When he did cry, it was hard for me not to.  I think just knowing that most guys have an aversion to it and then the fact he tried not to but the emotion was just too overwhelming ... well, that was really moving to me.

**Edited to add:  I don't cry in most professional and personal settings and so sometimes I come off as the "strong one" at work and to friends.  However, I am very sentimental and really emotional so I'll cry at home watching movies, listening to music alone in the car or when I'm running.  I also sobbed my eyes out for days when 9/11 happened.
Re: Do Men CRY ????? Thinkin: I don't cry either, last time I did I was younger with a kickass headache but other then that, if something makes me sad enough to get a lump in my throat. It ends up pissing me off, then my feelings turn to anger.

Re: Do Men CRY ????? tyrogers: Thinkin cries all the time too.  Just the other night, he and Bubs were on the phone crying to each other. It's sick I tell you.  Just sick.

ROFLMAO

Y'all know I am just kiddin'.  Thinkin and Bubs are two of the roughest/toughest men I know of!  ;)

Re: Do Men CRY ????? skooz: I personally admire a man who is able to cry, break the rules and just let it out. Crying is good, if not necessary. But then again I cry A LOT. I wonder if I'm dealing with life in the wrong way, but I also know I'm a strong person and tears is the only outlet I have for my feelings.

The thing is, putting ourselves back together as soon as we can.

Well of course, just the sound of bubba's voice gets me all sad. I'll eat the last piece of chicken and I'll quietly hear bubba start whimpering. And I can’t stand to see a big man cry so it ends up making me sad. Then we both just start letting it out and can’t control it, that’s the only time I can really cry.
