Re: "for the best...." hope: I think that's one of those patronizing statements that's hard to argue with.
I mean, if someone decides they want out of a marriage and they say, it's for the best...well, how could it not be for the best? Even for the one who wants to work it out...isn't it for the best that you're not with someone who doesn't want to work on things?
But, still, it's just patronizing and annoying and really condescending to say that if you ask me. Even if you think it. It's nice when people censor the words that come out of their mouths.
