I am very much learning how to lean on myself, but also make sure I reach out to others. It's tough, and sometimes I just need that reassurance that I'm not alone in the thoughts in my head and the feelings I feel. I truly appreciate your support...

Re: Can anyone lend a ear, and a hug maybe? Dharma Bum: JT, sorry to hear about it. Same boat, for me. I have been in practice for 4 years and my overhead was a lot higher, plus I got into health care in a place where we had no ties, no family, no friends, nothing. In a very close-knit community. Talk about taking the hard road! I've stayed afloat this whole time and never once put personal money from my wife's job into my business, so I consider it a success for "phase I", at least. But never got any support from my STBXW in my business (unless "when are you bringing money home") is support. It's tough to do what you love and not make financial success with it, but stick with it and persevere if you can! Friends are great, but they have their own lives. So do we, but when people are on here they are here to do what OJAR does, so you always have open eyes and ears here.

Re: Can anyone lend a ear, and a hug maybe? browngreen: Hey JT,
Sorry to hear you're so down.
Keep your head up, be proactive, and work to get yourself out of it. I know it sounds dumb, but concentrate on the good, and ask the universe for what you want.
I have been where you are,  more than once. It has taught me self-reliance and self-comfort, and really, unconditional self-love.
I still need someone, still need people, to be sure. But I know how not to go to certain places in my head/heart anymore, and if I do, how to get back out.
Greif can really put you in a pit, and sometimes it's hard to see your way out of it. BUt once you climb out, even after slipping back in a few times, you know how to get out, and you know it's not a big deal if you end up there again. It's a phase, and a process. It's a teacher.
You're in my thoughts,
bG
