had lunch with an old friend today minneapolis: Haven't seen her since my wedding 6 years ago. She came into town for a wedding so we met for coffee. I was nervous at first, obviously we've drifted apart, but it was just like we'd never stopped being friends.
The best part was that she told me I looked good and seemed happy. That mattered to me. After Easter this year my mom sent me some pictures of our family gathering and I was stunned to see myself in the pictures...I just looked so sad. It made me sad to see that I was sad! But I think I am really around this bend.
And I feel good.

Re: had lunch with an old friend today twetifb: minn~ that's wonderful!!! i also recently reconnected with a very close friend whom i hadn't spoken to since my wedding. i couldn't believe how easy it was pick up where we left off...almost as if no time had passed. she lives out of state so i haven't been able to see her yet, but i'm hoping maybe sometime soon. congrats!!!
