I need to get my bed back PnR: My old bed is still sitting at SH house and I think I must get it back for all I know he is using it now for his "tenants".
It has been over a month of no contact, seriously I don't know if he's still alive, with someone new, there's been not a word. I am really scared to contact him, I know he will probably respond in his cold, heartless manner. I'm scared of what I might find out. Or am I using this as an excuse to contact him?
What should I say if I do. I was thinking of sending him a message saying.
"I need to get my bed back from you."
or
"Can I send someone to fetch my bed."
I don't feel like being nice then maybe he will think what he did was find but is it better to be polite?
Any advice.

Errrmmm, is there anyone else who can ask him?
If not I'd go for the "Can I send someone to fetch my bed". Or even rephrase it so you don't give him the opertunity to say no. "I will be sending someone to collect my bed, please let me know when it's convenient?" perhaps?

i agree....don't give him the feeling that he has a choice in the matter. tell him you need it by a certain date so that he doesn't put you off.
Re: I need to get my bed back brokenman: Firm and politely business-like is always best. I'd go for, "My bed is still in the house. I need to retrieve it before Saturday. Please let me know a convenient time to fetch it. If there isn't a better time I will be there Friday at 5 pm." Of course, pick your dates and times. And it is a bed, so you probably don't have a choice, but if you do go yourself then bring a friend. Perhaps a couple to help keep it quick and quiet in case he decides to use the occasion for some contact.
Re: I need to get my bed back lost enigma: I agree with all of the above. There are no options that should be given to him. You need it, end of story.
Just stay strong.
Re: I need to get my bed back bigblue: if you ask my opinion... I would leave the bed :) he is trying to push your buttons to get response. No response, act like you are dead and gone.. (gosh, I am in the angry stage today)
I just bought a bed last week. 30% off, new bed new life... 6 months no interest :)
