Re: slapped in the face starzluv: the amount of money he makes, they would take alot more from him for child support, and the state would keep it all and then give you very little in assistance. in Pa. a family of 4 get $497 a month to live off. and that's the max amount. if my H was ordered to pay $1200 a month child support, the state would take the $1200 and still only give me $497. sometimes it just doesn't pay to go on welfare.for help in rent you would have to go through housing. (section 8 or public, and if you are on cash assistence you would have to go public housing). and if he thinks he will get out of paying it back he's wrong. he will have to pay back all the cash assistence.

Absolutely right. The government will not support his children. They will collect on anything they pay out from him.
