losing too much weight? callaway: I started at 135 lbs 3 months ago. Now I'm down at 121. I'm 5´3. When is this starting to get unhealthy? I get comments from friends now that I look too skinny. And when I look at my body I hardly recognize it. The first 9-10 lbs went quickly the first month or so. Then I felt I had regained my appitite. Didn't have to force down food anymore. But apparently I'm still not eating enough since I keep loosing weight. I try to eat fatty foods and drink juice and stuff. But sometimes the fridge is empty and I don't feel like going shopping and then I eat poorly for a couple of days.
Re: losing too much weight? PnR: I wouldn't stress about it to much if I were you. I lost a lot of weight to when my relationship ended, but I've put most of it back on (unfortunately).
Try not to skip meals even if you have to force yourself to go shopping and try eat healthy food. If it gets worse maybe you could speak to a doctor.
Re: losing too much weight? PickingUpThePieces: I also lost about 25 pounds when the relationship ended (which I could afford to lose since I had gained weight while we were together!) Once my appetite started to come back, the weight loss leveled off. I've been at the same weight for a few weeks. If you continue to lose weight rapidly and it doesn't seem to level off, check in with your doctor.
Re: losing too much weight? twobeautifulkids: I think you're still in the normal range for your height. It becomes a problem when you've dipped below the normal range. If you keep losing steadily there could be an issue. I personally am happy I've lost some weight and would welcome the losing of another 7 pounds. Mine is due to not cooking as much and as elaborately as I used to. Oh and stress. And exercise. ;)
Re: losing too much weight? Discarded: It's called the Divorce Diet
It should become a new fad here soon with how well it works! Well, truthfully it may already be a fad - Hollywood seems to enjoy it, most of them seem to marry and divorce every couple of years.
Just monitor it and if you start to worry about it see a doctor, in the meantime ENJOY IT. It's one of the few perks of what you are going through.
I dropped down to my weight when I got out of Marine Corps Bootcamp, I was astonished I could loose 35 pounds in less than a month without the work I did to get to that weight coming out of boot camp so many years ago.
