Divorced gardening!! wolly1234: Just thought I'd put this out there for a chuckle.
Before I left in July I had just planted a pretty big garden. Everything that everyone in the family liked. Stbx, fresh corn, stepdaughter, strawberries, watermelon, boys-tomatoes, ect. BIG garden. It was one of the things I really enjoyed doing. So when I got to my itsy bitsy apartment, I really missed it.
So I improvised.
This morning I picked fresh strawberries from the hanging baskets to add to my cereal. And tonight I picked fresh tomatoes from my living room to add to my spagetti. Everytime I look in the corner of my living room and see 6 foot tomato plants,, I have to laugh. I like fresh hot-tasting radishes on my salads, so I planted them in with the tomatoes. Haven't figured out how to do fresh apartment corn in the middle of Febuary, yet. But I am working on it. I am adaptable. Where there is a will there is a way.
Apartment gardening at it's finest..

Re:Divorced gardening!! shannon: I agree! That is super cool! I want a garden too but there is a family of bunnies in my back yard that would eat it as fast as I could plant it.
Enjoy it!!

Re:Divorced gardening!! SunnyFlower: On a personal note....
Now that i am out of the dreadful apartment I was living in (yeah, ok...I am "self spoiled"...I had a pretty posh place, but it wasn't my HOUSE) and am now back in my house I am SO looking forward to re-planting the garden I had 2 summers ago! ;D
I'd be happy to offer my "green thumb" advice to ya!
Re:Divorced gardening!! finney5: Wolly, that's impressive! I'm always impressed with anyone that can make plants grow. The only thing I can keep alive is a Christmas Cactus, and that's because I really only have to water it about 1-2 times a month :)
Good luck with the corn, and I'm waiting to read when you'll figure out how to grow an orange tree in the apt. ;D
