I started dating shortly after my divorce, found the prettiest woman around and married her.
I never was intimidated by a pretty woman, I am however quiet by nature and although not shy I seem to come off that way to most people.
I don't know what to tell you, I make my own path through life and never have really "dated" much. I am more about long lasting relationships so I have never been available for very long.

The intimidation of your beauty has alot to do with it, if you are tall that doesn't help either. I used to have no problem talking to beautifull women, then I got burned. The fear of rejection can very controlling.
Some think it is better to not even step up to the plate if you are pretty sure you are going to strike out anyways.
I say, "at least give it a swing, it doesn't take more than a bunt to get to first base."
Others know that ugly girls are easy and that is why they are probaly at the bar anyways.

I got married Sept 10 2005.
I post and read other stories, add any insight I can and try to help like so many did for me when I went through my divorce.
The people that pass through and come out the other side can be very helpful, they have already been through so much and can see at times what may be coming. In any case we are still inspiration that time does heal, and that sometime or another life does go forward.
I still deal with many issues with my X because of our children and sometimes I need help or ideas with those.
