Re: Can I ask a question?? Trillian: I have had two (YEAH TWO!!!) laporoscopies (sp??) and each time each dr (YEAH TWO DIFFERENT DRs) said that no not endometriosis, which is what they thought it would be.  The PCP yesterday said that it may just be the cysts BUT so far they are leaning towards the veins.  I just want to live a pain free life.  I want to get off drugs and not worry every month that I will miss work.  ARGH!!!!!!!

Re: Can I ask a question?? PiscesGoddess: Oh honey I just caught back up to  this.. how awful! Ive never heard of that problem.. there has to be a surgery..am I correct? What about stopping your periods..that wont help???

Re: Can I ask a question?? Trillian: that is what the depo shot that I am does....stops the periods.  He said that it may take another month to completely stop the pain tho...

ARGHH!!!! Today is better...

They said two choices that I have now

1- Take the ovaries....which is no Guarantee
OR
2- Hysterectomy

At my age THAT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!
Re: Can I ask a question?? alonewith2: My friend had painful periods after her second child.  First she tried the ablation surgery that the doctors promised good results......didn't work, so she had a hysterectomy.  She was only 24 at the time, but her husband and her agreed to it because they already had their two kids and she already had her tubes tied......so they really didn't want any more kids.  The only thing she didn't like about it was the weight gain.

I hope you don't have to take this option if you don't have to.  Have they tried the ablation?
