In return, I didn't hold her accountable for the marrital debt (truck loan). I just wanted the ring, she got more $$. All worked out.
The engagement ring is beautiful and sitting in a safety deposit box. Her wedding band was custom made and had my Mom's engagement diamond in it - the combo of engagement and band was amazing.
My wedding band was my Father's wedding band (he died in 99). It meant so much to me to use it. When she left, I moved the wedding band to my right hand. It was originally my Father's, now it's his again, and a fond memory of him. I don't look at it as my band anymore - just as his. I will never remove it, nor will it be used as a wedding band again...
Re:What to do with the ring? LoveFool: When I found out my wife cheated on me during our seperation/attempted reconciliation, I took both the engagement ring and wedding band back (she doesnt deserve them)!
2 years ago I accidently lost my wedding band in the ocean at Virginia Beach, I guess that was a sign ???..... Well I plan on retruning to the same beach in June and tossing her wedding band in the ocean...I hope it will be bring some kind of closure for me. I am very symbolic and I feel that both our wedding bands should stay lost together forever.........
Now the engagement ring and diamond, Im not sure what to do with yet. It was very a special ring in my eyes, I spent alot of time picking the right diamond and platinum setting. The diamond is about a 2/3 carat with excellent quality. I guess i'll probablly sell it...Any suggestions?
