Re: I'm going to look at it this way... turboss: I want to live by this so bad but the hurt is so deep, how long does it take the hurt to go away.  I feel like i need to save my husband from self destruction but on the other hand, i feel like i need to find a way to move on.  The love in me is so great, i don't understand why I am not hurt enough to want to go on....can any one give me a time frame here and break it down to me?

You can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved. You've got to let him figure it out for himself. In the meantime take care of yourself...

Re: I'm going to look at it this way... alonewith2: Flow, it's great that you are able to realize the good and bad points to your marriage.  People think that the good points are only the "good times" during the marriage, but I like to think of them as the good things that we are able to realize about ourselves.  You became a stay at home dad and raised your kids.  That is a great accomplishment!

And the best realization that you have made, "I've discovered that I'm worth more.  I don't have to compromise who I am to please anyone else. "
