I think more than anything yesterday was a little self assessment of where I'm at with my process of healing and moving on.  Conclusion: I'm doing pretty damn well, thank you very much! :D

Thats good to hear :D
You know I think I said once that it must be almost easier to get over someone when you never have to see them. I take that back, I don't think it would be easier, especially if you have no real closure. The fact is, its hard to let go completely, I mean, I know I still care about my ex, I always will...I may not love him in the way that I used to but its still nice to know that he's okay (or not okay, as the case may be ::) )
So you never ran from your ex's memory, haven't made a point of bury it in the past....but it happened anyway. So its a shock to see her, to see old pictures when you were happy together....mabey because she hasn't been on your mind....so its like suddenly WHAM! there she is and its like damn, yeah, you....I almost forgot about you How did that happen?
"She's still very present in my heart and mind".....and thats okay too, you can't share so much with someone and be so close and then just expect to erase that....she will always be a part of you, its a part from the past but its still there, the memories don't go away, you just put them in there place, and bring them up occaisonally and one day, hopefully, be able to smile about the good times and wish her well :)
Good to hear you're doing okay :)

You know what?  I didn't delete the pictures.  In fact, I really didn't even consider deleting them.  Since I have removed every other relic related to our union from my life, I kind of view the pictures as a necessity for me right now.  I mean, they are really all I have left of her.  I dunno, maybe I should delete them, but then, I wouldn't have them for therapeutic purposes...

right?
