A lot of people here have been in your shoes and 99 percent of the time, it does not stay wonderful. Just make sure that through the guilt and emotions that you do what is legally right. It will protect you and your interest and abilty to take care of your children in the end. If you agree to pay seven or eight hundred dollars a month now, in six months doing things on your own for the kids are going to be really really hard! Also, if you are spending at least half of the time with your children, make sure your child support is being based on Joint Physical custody and not Sole Custody. That makes a HUGE difference in most states as far as what you are required to pay!
