hypnosis Frazzled Nomad: do any of you use hypnosis or guided meditation to help with stress and depression? i have got a few downloads off the internet and a bunch of depression hypnosis tracks from my counsellor. plus i've always liked meditation based on the few times i've tried it but only now am i starting to do it seriously and daily. really helps to relax sometimes and for me much preferable to sleeping tablets to get to sleep..
it's funny once you've done it a few times you really get used to the hypnotised / meditative state and it can actually clear your thoughts pretty well.. (of course other times it doesn't work at all, but when it does at least you can recognise 'ah this is my subconscious' and it can be an interesting window on some feelings you didn't know you had)
any thoughts?
Re: hypnosis Mooneyes: I've been doing this lately. I am running a subliminal message program on my computer all the time now. I am also listening to some self-hypnosis downloads that a friend gave me. I am so appreciative of them. I can tell a difference after I listen to them. I am hoping that if I listen to them enough I will improve alot more.
