This movie has inspiration, quotes and a happy ending Raul: The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)
My wife (soon to be divorce) and I were movie fanatics. We will watch all the new movies on video or the big screen. So I am having a difficult time watching movies because we saw them together.
But this movie, we didn't watch together, because she isn't fond of classic books (by Alexandre Dumas Pere) turn into movies. Good for me! Since she left me, I have watched it more than 10 times.
I recommend this movie for all those who lost hope, lost a loved one and lost faith or have been betrayed.. All in which I have. The story of a man who was poor and couldn't read or write. His best friend betrays him, steals his fiance and frames him. He spends 13 years in a French prison. While incarcerated, he meets an old man who teaches him how to read, write, fight, patience, and to believe in God again. He escapes with a map to find gold... then he plans his revenge in a classy way- he reinvents himself. He becomes a classy Count. I will leave the happy ending for you to see.
