I told him that i felt like we had a mother-son relationship instead of a marriage.... I asked him one time why he did it, he said because he knew i would throw a fit about it so what i didn't know wouldn't hurt.... WTF!!!! I found out that the little lies lead to big lies............6 years together..... I sometimes fell like a fool...........how easily I believed him.........GRRRR I hate liars!!!!!!!!

However, you also need to be sure that you are allowing them to be truthful. If they know you're going to fly off the handle, they'll take the easier way out. Can you sit down with and explain why you feel the way you do about whatever they are lying about, and if they subsequently do 'fess up to something, don't 'punish' them for it. Do you see what I'm trying to say here?

Many times ... people who lie to us --- lie to theirselves. They get so engrossed in the lies .. they sort of really believe them.
For example, maybe he thinks he isn't seeing her --- coz it isn't physical. He justifies it.
