The water is also different from the last time many of us were swimming in it, too. For some of us the last time we went swimming was in high school. Sure we had "relationships," but we all know the difference between a high school committment and an "adult" committment. The environment has changed, the number of fish in the sea has changed, and it's a scary thought when you know you were dumped overboard into a totally different pond/lake that you are used to.

Yup, but eventually you have to fish or cut bait. No time to waste thinking about the one that got away or chasing after white whales. Just because we get thrown back doesn't mean we should go belly up. Gotta dust off the tackle, check the action and get your line wet. Eventually you'll find another keeper.
