Re: Done (copy) techick: I swear if I don't do bodily harm to my STXBH or his skank, then I shouild get a medal!!!!

His skank has MY KIDS calling her "mom" and he's still married to ME!!!

And now he tells the kids I don't want to talk to them, WHILE ON THE PHONE WITH ME AND I AM ASKING TO TALK TO THEM, so I can hear their dissapointment!!!!

Oh God, I really am going to go off on that guy, HOW CAN SOMEONE BE LIKE THIS????

And WHY was I so nice to him after we split????

God save me, please!
Re: Done (copy) alonewith2: Have you started a journal?  You need to write down the dates and times of all these events!!  It will help you immensely when it comes time for the custody hearing.  Let the judge know that you have repeatedly called and asked to talk to the kids, but he wouldn't let you, and that he told them you didn't want to talk to them.  Write down everything!!

Re: Done (copy) techick: I was doing that, but then was told that it wouldn't help me out!

Have you been through this?  Do they really look at those things in court???

Frankly, the jerk doesn't have the money for a custody fight, I think he's coming to the first hearing without a lawyer because he can't even afford that!  He nailed himself, gave away all the furniture and elec's that he got when we seperated, got rid of the money ($42,000 in cash) and then got a job for 1/3 his previous salary....said it was so I wouldn't get that much money outta him.....well now HE has no money!  Idiot!

Please let me know if you have been through this and what helped or hurt you or the other person.  Feel free to PM if you don't want to post it:)

Thanks for the help!:D
Re: Done (copy) alonewith2: It's all about how you present yourself in court.  You can't go in full of venom and anger!  You have to stay professional and respectful.  The journal will help you present times, dates, etc.  It will give you a framework for your case.  They will tend to believe the events really happened if you have it all down on paper instead of just pulling dates and times out of thin air.

Stating, "I called you at 10:00 am on Thursday August 15, 2005 and asked you if I could speak with the children.  You declined to allow me to speak with my children, and then you told the children that I didn't want to speak with them.  The call took 7 minutes and was finished at 10:07am."

Doesn't that sound better than, "I called you once, I believe in August, and you wouldn't let me speak with the kids, and you even told them some BS about me not wanting to talk to them."
Re: Done (copy) techick: Yes, it does, but we only have 30 mins in court total, for my side, his side and the judge.  My lawyer thinks, and I agree, that we need to hit the big points, since we only have about 10 mins to present.

Have you been to court on something like this before?  I just ask so I know what experience you have, I have NONE, so I am going on lawyer and what i find on the net and my own logic.
