Remember the license plate thing...? Tarheel: This is a good vent...
Some of you may remember the quandary I found myself in about a month ago, where my ex-wife mailed me a nice, pretty, shiny University of North Carolina license plate for my car. After much deliberation, I decided to mail it back to her and to decline her gift.
Well, it's funny how things work out.
My parents took my daughter with them back to North Carolina last week to see my dad's family. And they came back bearing gifts... a set of UNC coasters to match my UNC dining room (don't ask), a UNC pen set, a UNC T-shirt, AND...
Yep. A nice, pretty, shiny UNC license plate for my car.
Just telling this story to let ya'll know that things DO work out, even if this example is just a silly little license plate.
