Re: 1st Thanksgiving after divorce turboss: well that is over and we made it...one more to go....November 23rd was my daughter's first b'day too...so i had me a double whammy this year...it all sucked...sucks...whatever...i want to be positive for my little girl for the holidays, but i am sooo being a scrooge...and Christmas is going to suck too....but we'll make it through too (with lots more tears and pain i am sure).

You will get through it Mike. I know this will be an extremely tough day for you. Try to have some fun. (by that I don't mean try to have sex). Each something you love to eat (like turkey) Perhaps go down to the beach for a litle sea air.

1st Thanksgiving after divorce My_farm: Divorced the end of May and this is my first thanksgiving alone.
Have been in Divorce recovery group and personal counseling for
the last 6 months and I am doing pretty well,but today SUCKS !!.
I will get through it,but I will be glad when January rolls around and the
holidays are over.
